    1929 Company founded. First works at Lidlington - rapidly enlarged. 1935 Second works opened at Ridgmont. Brogborough built to house company employees. 1936 Merged with the Ridgmont Fletton Brick Company. 1939 Becomes the second largest brick company in the UK. 1968 - 1971Taken over by London Brick Company. The Marston Valley Brick Co. was formed in the 1920s, and registered as a private company in 1929, with Duncan Whitehouse - formerly a manager of the London Brick Company yards at Peterborough - as its managing director. In 1968 London Brick began its bid to take over the Marston Valley Brick Company, an aim which was successful in 1971.
