Title
Examinations and depositions: Lewis Flint, Shillington, innkeeper. Wm. Farrow, Sam. Jepps, Jn. Dear, Wm. Cox, Chas. Simkins and Thos. Cobb, became abusive when he refused to give them any more beer. With the assistance of a constable, Jn. Jepps, and others he managed to get them out of his house but they then started throwing stones, breaking a window. He sent for another constable, Limbey Poulter, and they ran off. Further evidence asks for sureties of the peace against those named. Evidence of Lewis Flint, junr., Shillington. Met Wm. Farrer near his father's house who insulted and threatened to cleave him down with a bludgeon. He also heard Wm. Farrer threaten Jn. Wellingham near the churchyard gate "I will do for you Wellingham - some of these nights". Evidence of Eliz., wife of Lewis Flint, junr. She saw Wm. Farrer, Chas. Simkins and Thos. Cobb, coming from the church yard and also heard them breaking the rails there. Evidence of Jn. Wellingham. A lodger in Flint's house and an eye witness of the disorders. He saw Wm. Farrow throw a pint pot across the room and break it. When he told Farrow he ought to know better he was threatened with "We will do for you some of these nights, if you dont take Care of yourself".
