The group is essembled around a tree with buildings in the background. One boy is sitting in the fork of the tree with the masters and boys stand and sit below. The boy thought to be 'Max' sits in a chair to the left in front of the masters. If this is Edward's brother, Edward Malcolm, then he was five years older than Edward, which would suggest that Edward is one of the younger boys if he is in the picture.
