(son & heir of sir Wm.B of Hanby Grange (co.Lincs.), bart., who was s. & h. of John Buck, esq., Afterwards Sir J.B. of same, bart.), & wife Mary (sole dau. & heir of Wm Ashton of Hadley (co. Midx.), esq., son & heir of Sir Wm Ashton, Kt., decd.)

– The Manor of Dixwell [sic], with the courts, etc. Also closes called Dixwells Wood (cont.38.a.) (now divided into 6 closes called the Mowing Wood, the. Two Upper Wood Closes, Barn Wood Cl. & the Meadow, in par. Of Tingrith, Toddington, Harlington & Westoning; with ingress over Broad Field or Broad Marsh Fd. (as granted by Thos.Earl of Cleveland & Thos.Lord Wentworth (his son) to said Sir Wm.Ashton); also Pond Cl. (6 a.) in Tingrith adjg. Dixwells Wood; a toft where a messuage Formerly stood called Copthall; closes called Downhills (now lying With Copthall (6 a.), Colly Bush Cl. (8 a.); ½ a. in the. Common Fd. In Old Land or Old Furlong between land of Sir Pynsent Chernock & Wife Helen; 1 rood of meadow in Wycke or Whit Mead ; 1 r. of enclosed meadow in Stratford alias Clack Mead;/ Also rent-charges, viz., £4 form a farm (formely copyhold & in occ. Of Oliv.Bunker) cont. a messuage, 35 a.arable, 10 a.meadow, & closes called Woodcroft (10 a.), Westoning Cl. (2 a.), & a pightle called Old Grove (½ a.), in par. Of Tingrith & Westoning, formerly of Francis Read, gent., now of said Amb. Reddall, & formerly in occ. Of Timothy Bunker, now in that of Chris. Crouch; & 16s. from a farm (formerly Copyhold & in occ. Of Geo. Andrews), formerly of Sir Wm. Ashton, now of said Sir P.Chernocke & his wife. Also rents from parcels of lands in Tingrith (late paid to said Earl of Cleveland), being quit-rents amounting to £10 2s.2d., now conveyed by Earl & his son to Ashton, [All in Tingrith. Eversholt & Flitwick also mentioned in the “general words” but no details]. (Advowson of Tingrith excepted).
