Name in which convicted on previous charge William Henry Collier 6 months Boro Sessions Croydon 10th July 1920 Stealing a horse 6 months " " " Stealing a mare 6 months concurrent " " " " " 18 months with hard labour reduced to 6 months by C.C Appeal Sessions Nottingham 18th October 1920 Office Breaking & Larceny Also 3 summary convictions for poaching & damage signed Walter G Purser, superintendent 7th May 1921 Statement/Plea from 530 W H Collier Dear Sir, I was disharged from the Army in 1914 , 2 months after I was discharges the war began, I at once joined my Regiment & went to France with the 2nd Royal West Surrey , 22nd Brigade 7th Division & remained there until 1916 when I was burned & gassed, after some months in hospital I rejoined my Regiment in 1917 & remained with them until 1918 when I was severley wounded leaving me disabled which I am now sufferung from & I am getting no pension, I now leave my self to the mercy of the court hoping they will deal lenient with me.
