- Scope and ContentPrinted letterhead: The YMCA With the Egyptian Expeditionary Forces From: Pte CA Cazaly [62215], 1/4th Northants, Egyptian Expeditionary Force, Egypt Dear Mrs Verdecourt, I received your letter about a week after your son return from Russia, where he gave me to understand he had a fine time. I was unfortunate in being away in Alexandria at the time they left here, and much regret the fine experience I lost in consequence. Your parcel was waiting for him on his return together with a smaller one and 16 letters. The cake was in fine condition as I can testify [as I ?ted] a piece myself which I thought was very nice indeed Cyril and I are good pals and I was very glad to see him back. I listened with interest to his account of the voyage, but no doubt he has told you all about it. With kind regards and thanking you for your confidence in the matter of the parcel. I remain Yours very sincerely CA Cazaly
