  • Production date
    From: 1919 To: 1919
  • Scope and Content
From: Hut 12, E Company, 3rd Beds, ‘R’ Lines, Brocton Camp, Staffordshire Dear Mama, I am enclosing £2 of the back bonus which we received yesterday. You may ‘invest’ it, however you please, and I hope to add to it frequently, until I get my coveted ticket. You are very kind to take so much trouble on my behalf. I wrote to Maude the other day and enclosed one for Louis, - it saves stamps you know. My ankle is much better, and I am having a very easy time indeed, reading and writing. Rumour has it that the coal-strike ended to-day and that may mean that we shall move shortly. There is something afoot, for they are preparing us for long marches. I must close, because Alf Bryeeson is waiting to take this for me. Yours lovingly Cyril
