- Scope and ContentDear Louis, I received your letter this morning and I thank you for it and for the gloves I received yesterday. They were a source of comfort to me to-day. I agree with you concerning the Russian’s share in fermenting the German revolution, the revolution we all hoped for but hardly dared expect. No labour news reaches me now, but from the papers I can put two and two together fairly well. Regarding demobilisation the views are numerous and varied, and the matter can be looked at in some many ways that it is not safe to express any opinion. Perhaps overseas men should be considered first and yet it is not the fault of home service men that they have not been abroad. Age may count, but trades have some demand surely. Should you hear any talk of applying for men at the Cars [Commer Cars] I know you will do your best for me. Please give my love to Maude. To catch the post I must close, Your loving brother Cyril
