    This is the Last Will and Testament of me Tho(ma)s Curtis of Harlington in the County of Bedford. Gardener First I will and direct that Forty Pounds part of my Estate and Effects do remain at Interest in the hands of my Master Mr Arthur Jennings for the uses I purpose following That is to say All the Interest of the said Forty Pounds I give and Bequeath unto my Loving Wife Ann for and during the Term of her Natural Life and after her Decease I Give and Bequeath the said Forty Pounds to be equally divided betwixt my Two Nephews William Curtis of Staggesden Labourer and Thomas Toms of Westoning Labourer both in the said County of Bedford Their heirs and Executors for ever Share and Share alike All the rest and residue of my Estate whatsoever I give and Bequeath unto my said Wife Ann for her Sole Use & Benefit and Lastly I do Constitute and Appoint my said Wife Ann as Full and Sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament made this 30th day of May in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Five Sign(e)d Publish(e)d and declared by the Within Named Testator Thomas Curtis, for and as his last Will and Testament having first being read over to him in the presence of us, who, in his presence and the presence of each other, have subscribed our Names as Witnesses The mark of Tho(mas) Curtis Witnesses Eliz(abeth) Jennings Anna Letitia Kinders proved November 16th 1769 by Ann Curtis the Executrix within named was duly Sworn according to Law before me Edw(ar)d Toweny Surrogate
