- Scope and ContentKnows of their well being from Mr. Parker & Richard [Worsley's] letters. The air of Devonshire has improved his own looks. Houses of Lords & Commons had long sessions yesterday. Grantham called upon to second the Address. Unpleasant for him but a negative would have been ungracious & offensive. Full conversation with Mr. Parker upon it. In the dark about Politics etc... Good reception from former acquaintances. Arrangements for habitation of house. Assurance that house is hers whenever she wants to use it. Lady Middleton enquires after her. The Lincolns & Pelhams have quarrelled. Played at Pope Joans[?] with Lady Catherine. Supped at Lord Gower’s and at Bedford House. Supping at Lady Betty Delmé's. Dining at Bedford House to meet the Duke and his brothers. Met Mr. Parker at the Prince's the day of his arrival, brought Lord Chatham. Sir Joshua gives Dinner on Saturday sennight. Hoping to unpack soon. Plate on way. Will answer Richard [Worsley’s] letter soon. Brother Ralph a fine boy etc.. Assure the little Parkers of their love. Sir Thomas flattered by the little girl's rememberance of him. Anjelica/Angelica [Kaufmann’s] picture partly like her etc.. Hopes little boy is pleased with his school fellows. Fritz to consult Dr. Warren soon, nothing to keep him from Bath. Thanks for her letter covering Richard's to Grantham's Aunt.
