Whiteness of Parisian buildings in sun. Black mud stream in middle of every street. Mr. & Mrs. Fanshaw and Madame La Dauphine just arrived. Haven't seen the Ladies but Simon was at home yesterday. Lord Carlisle's commission for a snuff box at Drais'. An example seen cost 50 guineas.
