Scope and Content
The first half contains a table showing quantities, prices and names of purchasers August 1919-June 1920; a list of flour output in sacks for each year April 1913-October 1934 and various notes on flour mixtures and technical processes (e.g. 'Average margin on Fines flour', 'Notes on chlorine bleaching', 'Gluten test of flour', 'Estimate of delivery costs' etc).
The last half consists of returns of grain, flour and offal produced January 1920-March 1921 , stock tables April-September 1921 and lists of stock on hand July 1924-September 1928.
There are four loose items: letter from S. Young & Co. of Mark Lane, London offering white feeding rice at 12/6 (1930), statement of account with Alfred Williamson Ltd (1938), receipt for 35qrs of plate received (1941) and an advert for plummer blocks supplied by Crofts Engineers Ltd (no date).
