Excellency I thank you infinitely Your Excellency for your kindness and for the good memory you have of me. Your kindness honours me in every occasion. As for Mr Pohl, Your Excellency does not have to worry because, as I had already had the honour to tell you the last time we met at that Royal Dinner, if the prize seemed too expensive, you did not have to load yourself with it. So I consider it over. I beg Your Excellency to give my regards to the kindest Lord your brother and to order me, who have the honour of being with the most Reverence for Your Excellency Most Humble, Very Sincerely and Respectfully Servant Antonio Rafaele Mengs.
