Received both of Grantham's letters of the 24 October and 25 November. The two books mentioned in the first have not yet been delivered to Lambert by Mr. Zeno. He will send to him if he dithers any longer and they will be forwarded according to Grantham's direction. In consequence of Grantham's last letter, Lambert sent to Mr. Stedman the letter he enclosed for him, but he was ill in bed with fatigue, although he is now mending. He was told by the person Lambert sent to him that he might receive the fifty Louis d'or which Grantham orders Lambert to supply him with, whenever he pleases.
