  • Scope and Content
    George P Livius, Timorthy Fish Foord Bowes. 1st bell rings at 6 - the doors of the night cells are then opened and the prisoners cloths delivered. In half an hour after they are brought down to their day rooms - breakfast at 8 o clock - viz 1/2 loaf. They dine at 1 o clock. The prisonersgo to their night cells at 8 o clock during summer months from March to november and in the winter they are down in the day room at 8 o clock in the morning and locked up by 1/2 past 4 o clock. 5 women on the surgeons list, 3 of them comnvalescent. The Rev H B Worthington visited the prisoners one day during the week and performed Divine Service on the Sunday. It appears from the Matrons journal that the iron blinds in teh Infirmary impede the free circulation of the air.
