Letter from Samuel Whitbread to Joseph Eade telling him that he cannot attend at Henlow and so asks for the 'proper instrument' to be sent to him. The price of Hill Foot Farm is £8000, and of the timber £318 18s 1d. He wants the payment made as late as possible 'without impropriety or appearance of undue procrastination' so that he has more time to get the money.
