- Scope and ContentI am about 25 years of age, born in St Paul, Bedford. When I was 14 years of age I was placed out apprentice by the Trustees of the Bedford Charity by Indenture for seven years to Ebenezer Malden of Biggleswade, carpenter. I served two years and a half of my time with Mr Malden at Biggleswade when I was assigned over by him to Mr Charles Swepson of St Mary, Bedford with the consent of the Trustees with whom I served the remainder of my apprenticeship in the said parish. I have not done any act since to gain a settlement. I was married this morning at St Mary to Mary Ann Barnes.
