(i) John Berrey and wife Elizabeth (ii) Mary Berry widow -- 2 leys of sweard ground in Felmersham, 2 roods to use of Mary Berry and heirs. free from incumbrances except lease and conveyance to Daniel Berrey late of London deceased for long term of years for securing payment of £30 and interest residue of which term is agreed to be assigned to John Scott of London, gentleman son-in-law to said Mary Berrey. in trust for Mary Berrey to attend the inheritance. executed by John Berrey [this Indenture will be a Release; for Lease see V94] 29 July 1699. 33. Indenture to Lead the Uses of A Fine. (i) John Berrey and wife Elizabeth ii) Mary Berrey -- 2 leys of pasture containing ½ acre in Brook Slade on Coxhead Furlong to use of Mary Berrey and heirs executed by John Berrey fine wanting 19 January 1701/2. Copyhold held of the Manor of the Rectory of Felmersham with Pavenham. George Wells and Samuel Wells pass to hands of lord to William Fresbey a surrender of 17 roods land to use of Richard Otway and heirs 1 July 1617. Presentment that John Fitzjeoffrey gentleman purchased contrary to the custom of the manor by feoffment 4 acres 1 rood customary land of Nicholas Gerald, late the lands of Richard Otway and formerly of George Wells who was admitted thereto at court held 17 James I [1619/20] land forfeited; granted by Lords’ favour to John Fitzjeoffrey who was admitted. 15 June 1652. Admission of John Fitzjeoffrey as son and heir of John Fitzjeoffrey to 4 acres 1 rood land. Fine: £1.10s. Rent: 1s.5d. Heriot: 2 shillings 24 September 1664. Admission of Nicholas Fitzjeoffrey to 4 acres 1 rood arable on surrender of John Fitzjeoffrey. said Nicholas surrendered said premises to Daniel Berry and heirs who by Thomas Berrey and Robert Warner his attorney was admitted. 24 September 1669. Admission of Mr. Robert Warner to said 4 acres 1 rood as heir of said Daniel Berry. 14 April 1731. Receipt for foregoing deeds etc. and terrier of lands late belonging to Mr. Warner, which lands on death of said Mr. Warner descended to Mary, wife of Daniel Berry; receipt by said Daniel Berry for the deeds received of Jeffery Fisher and wife Ann (executrix of Robert Warner late of Felmersham, deceased). Witness: John Marsh. endorsed: Abstract and account of writings delivered by Mr. Fisher to Mr. Berry belonging to an estate in Felmersham late of Mr. Robert Warner deceased with receipt from Mr. Berry for such writings.
