- Scope and ContentDevising and bequeathing: All real and personal estate not otherwise specifically disposed of, executors to sell and convert the same into money, etc. etc. ; income of her personal estate however invested shall from her death be treated and applied as income, no part to be added to capital except accumulations of surplus income during a minority or pending a contingency; residuary estate to be held by executors in trust for all surviving of her nieces and nephews Arthur Leslie Sanders, Charles Hugh Sanders, Mary Cozens-Walker, Howis Arthur Croxford and Margaret Cozens-Walker, in equal shares, otherwise to their children if said nieces or nephews should predecease her, that child or children to take their parent’s share, divided equally. Nephews Arthur Leslie Sanders, Charles Hugh Sanders and Howis Arthur Croxford to have option in succession in that order of purchasing her property at Harrold consisting of her house, ‘The Maples’; the barn, yard, buildings and land at rear of ‘The Maples’ containing in all an area of about 6 acres; Maples Cottage at Harrold; and the two thatched cottages at the rear. Price to be agreed between trustees and the nephew exercising the option, or failing agreement by valuation of two independent persons; such option to be declared in writing and singed by Arthur Leslie Sanders within six calendar months after her death and by each of her other nephews within one calendar month after each the nephew’s period allowed before. Any nephew exercising the option is requested but not bound to allow her sister Edith Croxford to reside at ‘The Maples’ if she so desires upon such terms as may be arranged between them. Bequeathing: To sister Edith A. Croxford free of duty all jewellery, trinkets, clothing and other personal effects; if sister pre-deceases, then to nieces Mary Cozens-Walker and Margaret Cozens-Walker divided equally.
