- TitleDeed Poll: (1) Francis Walker of Bedford, tailor, only son and heir of Alderman Francis Walker, late of Bedford (2) Corporation of the Town of Bedford. Recites Act of Common Council of 17 September last (1714) whereby (2) agreed to let to Francis Walker the father all that messuage or tenement with appurtenances situate in the fish market in the Town of Bedford, late in occupation of Katherine Heyward, widow, and then of said Francis Walker: West - fish market. Whereas lease was signed by Mr George Maddey, the Mayor, on 20 September last, but Francis Walker died before counterpart was executed - now (1) agrees with (2) to take lease of premises for 11 years from Michaelmas last past according to terms of original lease. Annual rent: 20s. Witnesses: Thomas Chaplin, William Kidd. Seal: applied, with initials FEW. Signature: Francis Walker
