- TitleI have found some pictures of Powerscourt - back, front and garden - which I hope will give you what you want as to that. I want also to ask you as to the dog. If I find a suitable one are you ready to take it - so to speak - at once. You say you would like a trained one as you might not have time to train a puppy and I should like to get you one that you could use at once. But so many big ones have been trained in Govt Training Schools (which they use for Military purposes & send many abroad for the Forces) therefore they are difficult to get now, though possibly they may be getting rid of some soon now that the war in Europe is over. Now supposing I meet with an adult dog though not actually trained as in schools, could you do with that? Puppies of course want a lot of looking after & time spent on them. An adult dog, not so much. Also, should you be content with a young male that was a good specimen of any breed that is likely to take to the work. I will do my very best to get one already broken, but it seems difficult just now. So many people have given up breeding on account of the feeding difficulty. I will do my best to get something that you will really like. I take great interest in you and your undertakings. [PS] I just missed getting a Bull Mastiff of 9 months old recently through delay in post.
