    Probate of the will of Constance Beatrice Chaundler, 46 Roland Gardens London, SW7 formerly of 3 Summerfield, Newnham, City of Cambridge, who died on 12 February 1976 with copy of will Daughter, Anne Chaundler, appointed sole executrix and trustee of will ...to Miss May Huckle, c/o Mrs Emery, 35 Drove Rd, Biggleswade - £100 ...to godson, Peter Bailey - £100 If daughter shall survive her for 4 weeks, then ...to daughter, Anne Chaundler - house, being 3 Summerfield, Newnham in trust for sale and to invest proceeds and to pay income to [testator's] sister, for life, and after her death then daughter [said Anne Chaundler] shall hold capital and income for herself absolutely no sale of house to take place within 6 months of death, and sister, Dorothy Mona Jane Thomas, shall be entitled during such period to remain in occupation to those rooms which she is occupying in the house upon same terms as those subsisting at testator's death daughter may retain the house for her own use. In which case she is to appropriate a capital sum equivalent to value of house and pay income to sister [D M J T] for life. Then daughter to hold both capital and income in trust for herself absolutely. Sister not be entitled to income from estate unless she shall give up occupation of house within 6 month's of testator's death ...to daughter - all real and residue of personal estate absolutely If daughter does not survive testator for period of 4 weeks then Richard Alden, of Messrs King and Chasemore, Petworth, Sussex appointed sole executor and trustee ...to said R Allden -£100 if he proves sd will ...to said trustee - all real and residue of personal estate in trust to sell from proceeds to pay funeral expenses residue to be invested and held by R Allden on trust to pay income to said sister, D M J Thomas for life after her death to hold in trust for sister-in-law, Juliet Chaundler, 14 Petworth Road, Haslemere Surrey, absolutely and is her wish that said J Chaundler shall be her will leave any remaining capital to such of relation of testator's late husband as she shall consider in most need Trustee to have discretion as to purchase of stocks, funds, property etc. and investments If trustee is solicitor etc. shall be entitled to charge for services sig of C B Chaundler wits Edith Kathleen Hickling, 72 Fulham Rd, S W 3 spinster Florence McAvoy [?] 42 Gerard Road, Barnes, SW13, widow will dated26 May 1966 testator died 12 Feb 1976 will proved (PPR) by Mrs Ann Comyn (formerly Chaundler) 1a Crescent Place, London SW3 2EA, sole executrix 21 April 1976 gross value of estate - £71,053 65p net value - £70,385 47p attached: application for a certificate under the provisions of the Finance Act 1975 With certificate 25 Sept & 4 Oct 1976 endorsed: memorandum: 1 Assents dated 10 December 1977 by which Anne Comyn assented to the vesting in herself of common rights numbered 32, 63, 79, 83, and 65 over the commons and commonable places in the Manor of Biggleswade and all the Manor of Langford, for an estate in fee simple. 2 Deed of Gift dated 10 December 1977 made between a) sd Anne Comyn and b) James Gerrard Peter Comyn, QC by which a) conveyed common rights no 65 and the common and commonable places in the Manor of Biggleswade to b) in fee simple and acknowledged his right to the production of within written grant.
