    Letter: from Christine Dillingham at Kings Road, Flitwick to Richard Dillingham - writer hopes he is well and safe; - asks if he has been in any of this fighting that has been going on lately?; - notes there has been good news in the papers the last few days; - wishes that she could soon read that peace was declared; - notes Frank Dillingham came to visit to see if he could do anything to the drain but she had to go and visit Mr Hawtin who promised to sort the problem out; - notes he wanted to know how he was getting on and that she expects he feels a bit nervous himself whether he will have to join up; - comments they are going to take men that are not doing important work, "We are quite sure anybody could do his work" and wishes next door had to go "he wouldn't swank quite so much then"; - notes both boys are keeping well and they are expecting Morry and Cecil to tea; - "They all see who can make the most noise"; - asks how she should send a parcel to him for Christmas but if he is coming home there won't be any need; - hopes and prays that he will be home this year;
