- Admin/biog historyFrank Farmer was born in the Black Tom area of Bedford on the 11 November 1927. He remained in Bedford all his life. He worked at Goldington Power Station and later at Bedford College. He was involved with Bedford Football club and was a keen darts player, an Oddfellow and he wrote bits and pieces for newspapers. His darts activities in particular took him to many of the pubs in Bedford and in his retirement he appears to have developed an interest in the history of local pubs compiling these albums.
