I William Bright of 73 Ashton Road Luton, Motor driver, do hereby give each of you notice that it is my intention, at the next prcticable Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be holden in Bedford to appeal against a certain conviction of me by the Court of Summary Jurisdiction sitting at the Court House Luton for having on 1st January 1923 in Luton unlawfully drvena certain Motor Lorry on Stuart Street in a manner which was dangerous to the public having regard to the circumatnces of the case including the nature condition & use of the said highway & the amount of traffic which actually was or might have been expected to be on the highway, contrary to the form of the statute in such case made & provided & the general grounds of such appeal are; 1. that the conviction was against the weight of evidence upon the hearing of the proceedings in that behalf. 2. that there was no evidence whereupon to found the said conviction & 3. thet I am not guilty of the said offence; of all of which you & each of you are bound, & are hereby desired, to take notice. dated 19th January 1923 signed T Bright 4c) Recognizance to prosecute; In the Borough of Luton. Thomas Bright of 73 Aston Road Luton, as principal acknowledges himself to owe our Sovereign Lord the King, the sum of £40.
