Shire Hall, Bedford, 3rd October, 1922 Sir, I have to give you notice that the next Quarter Sessions of the Peace for the County of Bedford, will be held at the Shire Hall, Bedford, on Wednesday, the 11th day of October, 1922, at Eleven o’clock in the forenoon. BUSINESS SPRINGFIELD ASYLUM – To receive application for renewal of Licence (53 Vict. 5, secs C. 207, 208). To appoint Visitors (53 Vict. C. 5, sec.177) handwritten in red ‘No Vacancy’ To order payment of the expenses incurred under the authority of the visitors (53 Vict. C. 5, sec. 225. THE LUNACY ACT 1890 -91. – To appoint Justices as the “Judicial Authority”. To exercise during the ensuing year within the County of Bedford the powers conferred by these Acts upon such Authority (53 Vict. C. 5, sec. 10) (handwritten in red ink ‘appoint all the Acting Justices’) THE CLERGY DISCIPLINE ACT, 1892. To appoint five Assessors (55 &56 Vict. C. 32, sec. 3) (handwritten in red ink: F. A. Page-Turner Esq; C.R.S. Payne Esq; L. Stileman – Gibbard Esq; G. C. Walker Esq.; S.H. Whitbread Esq C.A. THE MAGISTRATES’ ASSOCIATION – The Clerk of the Peace to submit a communication from the Secretary of the Magistrates’ Association.
