Vol 111, case 12, 16-1-16 Offence :- Stealing Jewellery, clothing, a push car & other articles, value £15. the property of Edward Hughes at Bancroft Cottages Sharpenhoe, Streatley, 29th September 1921 Constables required to attend :- P.C.25 Bertie Wm Butcher, P.C.38 William A Keen Remarks :- Superintendent Charles Panter was bound over to prosecute in the case. These are to certify, that at the Adjourned Quarter Sessions of the Peace, held at the Sessions House Clerkenwell, in and for the County of London, on Tuesday 3rd February 1920, before certain Justices of our Lord the King assignedto keep the Peace inthe County aforesaid & also to hear & detirmine divers Felonies, Trespasses, & other misdemeanours committed in the same County. Jane Bellingham was in due form of Law,(upon her confession) convicted on a certain Indictment against her for that she on 15th Augist 1919being Clerk or servant to Marie Feingold stole from the said Marie Feingold one coat & on 21st September 1919 being clerk or servant to David Solomon stole from the said David Solomaon one dress, 2 coats & a pair of boots. The said Jane Bellingham having been previously convicted of Felony was ordered to be imprisoned & kept at Hard Labour in His Majesty's prison at Holloway for 15 calendar months.
