Admin/biog history
G C H Phillips was born in October 1907 in Glamorgan, Wales. He came from a family of clergymen who worked in Wales, Canada and America and this is reflected in some of the items within the deposit. He became a deacon in New Zealand in 1932. He appears to have returned to the UK in 1938. From 1945-48 he was a curate at St Saviour, Luton, Beds, then became vicar of Stotfold, Beds 1948-1961. In 1961 he became vicar of Evenley, Northamptonshire. He died in Northamptonshire in 1997.
