Indenture between: 1) Thomas Thorne of Luton, Beds, auctioneer 2) Annie Thorne of South End Road, Wickford, Essex, widow 2) Herbert William Couchman, of Bower Lane, Eaton Bray, Beds, fruit farmer. 1st Schedule: Jesse Gadsden Thorne, by his will dated 14 December 1914, appointed his wife (2) sole executrix. Died 26 April 1915. Sum of £250.00 remained owing to (1) (2) agreed to sell hereditaments to (3) for £200.00. £200.00 paid to (1) in part satisfaction of debt. Recites: All that piece of land situate in Bower Lane, Eaton Bray in the County of Bedford and adjoining the road leading from Eaton Bray to Totternhoe, containing 1 acre and 25 poles or thereabouts and being Allotment No. 79 on the Eaton Bray Enclosure Award dated 25 January 1860.
