    (i) John Stewardson, Southgate, Edmonton, Middlesex, draper and wife Susannah William Stewardson, same place, draper Henry Stewardson, Bedford, chemist (ii) John Stewardson, as above (eldest son and heir at law of William Stewardson, dec) (iii) Henry Stewardson, as above (iv) Charles Frederick Palgrave, Bedford, chemist, trustee for (iii) Reciting that William Stewardson, late of Bedford gent. dec. made his will being possessed of messuage below, and will was made 11 July 1836 and proved Archdeaconry of Bedford 14 May 1840 by which he gave to his three sons John, William and Henry as above freehold estate in High Street or Tavistock Street New Town in Bedford Saint Peter; and bequeathed to them also all personal estate and debts; that there might be doubts as to whether the property below passed by his will as recited above RELEASE IN FEE to (iv) in consideration of £160 to the use of (iii) ....messuage cottage or tenement with garden and appurts. in St Cuthberts parish in Bedford, formerly in occ. of John Lavender, pipemaker, then Thomas Marks, since Thomas Corley, then John Corley, afterwards William Stewardson, decd, and now of Thomas Brittain Whiffen, with E - orchard heretofore of Thomas Scudall now George Peregrine Nash S - once a tenement belonging to John Earles now the Ship Public House W - the common highway called High Street Signed all parties
