    (i) William Puddiphatt, Luton, brewer (ii) William Spencer, Luton, maltster Elizabeth Sellam, Luton, spinster Lease by (i) to (ii) for 3 years ...messuage or inn called by the name The Redd Lyon in Luton together with the malthouse, killhouse, garner, corn loft and all malt lofts, barns, stables, outhouses, edifices, buildings and cellars with "free ingresses and regresse to and for the sayd Wylliam Spencer and Elizabeth Sellam - - into through and by the gattes and yarde belonginge to the sayd messuage or inne" and "exceptinge and reservinge unto the sayd Wylliam Puddiphatt - - - all that his brewhowse, millhowse and colehowse belonginge to the same messuage or inne with the greate barne and alsoe one grounde chamber next adioyninge to the sayd brewhouse with the orchard and garden thereunto belonginge together alsoe with free ingresse, egresses and regresse to and for the sayd Willyam Puddifatt his heires and assignes and his and theire children servantes workmen at all tymes hereafter with horses cartes and other carryages to come goe and passe into through and from the sayd yard belonginge to the sayd messuage or inne and alsoe to remove take and carry away all suche soodes and howseholdstuffe of the sayd Willyam Puddiphatt which now are in the sayd messuage or inne at the free will and pleasure of the sayd Willyam Puddiphatt.."
