    (i) Thomas Medcraft, Laderman of Leeds, Yorkshire John Harrison Samuel Casson Richard Sykes Joseph Hillary Benjamin Wade Francis Jackson William Sykes, youngest son of said Richard William Marshall, the younger William Skelton William Marshall, the elder John Thwaites Henry Watkinson John Wade Richard Simpson (ii) Lawrence Watson, Meadow Lane, Leeds Mainridinge, Yorkshire, clothier Consideration of £3.13s.5d paid by (ii) to (i) (i) enfeoff to (ii) - cottage where (ii) now dwells late in occupation of Bennett Richardson, widow - parcel of land on east part of said cottage 8 1/2 yards in length and broad as said cottage stands - parcel of land from the outmost part of the chimney towards the west to Holbecke Beck; in length from a fence called a pale of William Wilkes near the water 9 1/2 yards - west part of croft; east land late of Thomas Fletcher now in occupation of (i) All held by (ii) by copy of court roll of the Manor of Leeds with benefit of common pasture lying in higheards of Manor of Leeds but not in Woodhouse Moor, the Ridge of the Darve - all right in said property by lease of said Manor of Leeds made by King James to John Walter, Sir James Fullerton and Sir Thomas Trevor, knight and others dated 5th October 1620 for 99 years at yearly rent of £58.15s.2d and half a farthing and which is now to come to (i) [Thomas Medcraft to William Marshall, the younger] - reversion of said premises as (i) [from William Skelton to Richard Simpson] late had of grant of Edward Ditchfield, John Highlord, Humfrey Clarke and Francis Mosse, citizens of London, be deed enrolled in chancery dated 6 Mary 1629 and as in Letters Patent under Great Seal of England, seal od Duchy of Lancaster and County Palatine of Lancaster dated 14 June 1628 by which said cottage etc was granted to E Ditchfield, J Highlord and H Clarke and F Mosse To be held by (ii) King Charles as of his Highness Manor of Endfield by fealty only in common socage and not in capite Yearly rent payable to (i) at the Moot Hall in Leeds for the use of the King - 4 1.2d being part of said yearly rent of £58.15s.2d and 1/2 farthing (i) covenant to pay said yearly rent of £58.15s.2d to the King for the Manor of Leeds (i) i.e. William Skelton to Richard Simpson have appointed Edward Comire, of Leeds, yeoman and Richard Kitchingman, servant to John Midgley of Headley in Bradforddale, Torks, gent as attornies to take livery of seisin Signatures of (i) and seals Endorsered livery of seisin Various witnesses
