Ernest Bailey, Arthur Cecil Gilbert Roe & Horace Smart Court of Trial : Bedfordshire Quarter Sessions held at Bedford Ernest Bailey, Arthur Cecil Gilbert Roe & Horace Smart are charged with the following Offence :- 1st Count; Statement of Offence :- Housebreaking & larceny contary to section 26(1) of the Larceny Act 1916 Particulars of Offence :- Ernest Bailey, Arthur Cecil Gilbert Roe & Horace Smart on 16th February 1921 in the County of Bedford, Broke & Entered the dwelling house of Christopher Frederick Webb & stole 5 clocks, 2 watches. a pair of binoculars, a jewel case & a case of mathematical instruments together of the value of £50. the property of the said Christopher Frederick Webb in the said dwelling house. 2nd County; Statement of Offence :- Receiving stolen goods contrary to section 33(1) of the Larceny Act 1916 Particulars of Offence :- Ernest Bailey, Arthur Cecil Gilbert Roe & Horace Smart on 16th February 1921 in the County of Bedford, did receive 5 clocks, 2 watches. a pair of binoculars, a jewel case & a case of mathematical instruments, the property of Christopher Frederick Webb knowing it to have been stolen Date of Trial :- 6th April 1921 Plea :- All Guilty Judgment ;- each bound over in the sum £20 to come up for judgment if called upon within 12 months Presiding Chairman :- Henry Martin Lindsell Esq.
