'The hostel goes on with varied fortunes' - gives details. General news of students and colleagues. The new Bishop is splendid and very keen on the hostel; he had experience with similar institutions in Brisbane. Wynne Willson seems to be settling at Wells [St John Basil Wynne Willson was the Bishop of Bath and Wells from 1921 to 1937]. The college has not filled up as much as might have been desired, but hope for better things next year. Bright was staying at the deanery last month. He is well again, but looks older and will not take up heavy work again. Today preached at Swaythling, part of Southampton University College - a very sumptuous place, formerly a mansion.
