Scope and Content
Sorry to hear of the death of his wife. Has been at Northampton Assizes on special jury in a case between Mr Scroxton of Oundle Solicitor and Mr Sam Tibbits of Oundle. Mr Tibbits had in a letter to Mr Sherrard of Oundle called Scroxton a rascal, because he thought he had not been well used by him and Mr Lye his London Agent in the business of the late John Balderston. Damages against Mr Tibbits was fifty pounds which 'I though too much'. Thanks for the present of fish, has sent game to Mr Fisher.
