  • Scope and Content
Was recently speaking to Revd. P Jenns from Canada about the colony, its religious squabbles and politics and reminded him that he must write. If George wants more recent news, he can speak to the Revd. who should be back in Victoria in May or June. Has seen in the newspapers that George sends that the railway has been repudiated by the Dominion Government. He always checks the newspapers for information related to George, the birth of a child, information that the Chemainus Bridge is entrusted to Mr Askew or that some ship has been loading at Askew's Mills. Was at Odell at Christmas. The squire, Mr Alston, who doesn't live in Odell, passed through Cambridge yesterday with his two sons and daughter. Mr Alston's sons have just passed through their Cambridge course.
