- Scope and ContentIs spending a few weeks of his vacation among his Suffolk flock. His neighbours the Eliot's were talking about George and speculated that the reason for George's long silence was that George had not been successful with Captain [Hurne?] in the lumber trade. Is catching up with the newspapers that George sends and sees that a railway is to be built. Believes it will improve George's property if the line goes from Victoria to Navaimo. Assumes that Mr Eliot will call upon him when he comes home as his ship the Zealous has been recalled and will ask him for news of George's children.
