- TitleUnfinished letter from Reverend Charles Edward Searle to George Thomas Askew. Sent from Earl Stonham, Suffolk
- Date free text5 February 1868
- Production dateFrom: 1868 To: 1868
- Scope and ContentApologies for not writing to George. His aunt has recently passed away so has been to London several times and has had several visitors. Is pleased to hear about the progress of building the church where George lives and asks for a photoograph or drawing of the church once it is complete. Asks to pass on his compliments to Mr Reeve [possible William Sheldon Reece, Archdeacon of Vancouver Isaland] and to apply to him in future years if required as he [Charles] may be a rector then (which he isn't currently and was falsely reported in the Times last November).
