'Biographical sketch of Rev Zechariah Symmes, Minister of Charlestown 1634-1671' by John Adams Vinton published in 1873. Zecharian Symmes was born at Canterbury in 1599 and graduated from Cambridge University in 1620. He lived in Dunstable as Rector from 1625-1834 when he emigrated to America.
