- Scope and ContentRecitals: 1. £36 8s remains owing to A.S. Wade-Gery from Thomas Howard. 2. Thomas Howard has requested the loan of £200 from (ii) "whaich they have agreed to do on having the repayment thereof with interest secured". The £36 8s will be paid to A.S. Wade-Gery. Covenants: 1. Thomas Howard will repay (ii) the sum of £200 plus interest on the third day of February next with interest rate of £5 per centum per annum, and on the third days of February and August for as long as money remains due. 2. A.S. Wade-Gery as Morgagee conveys to (ii) the 29 perches of land situate at Clifton including mesuage, workshop and buildings "now standing or in course of erection on the saide piece of land". 3. "If the sum of £200 with interest thereon shall be paid on the third day of February next ... the said premises shall at the request and cost of the said Thomas Howard, his heirs etc. be reconveyed to him or them." 4. Thomas Howard covenenants with (ii) that he, his heirs etc. "will at all times during the continuance of this security keep the mesuage and buildings comprised herein insured against loss or damage by fire in the names of (ii), their assigns etc. in the sum of £200 at least in some insurance office approved by them and will on demand produce to them the policy... and receipt for every premium payable."
