    (i) William Howard, Stotfold, baker (ii) Thomas Hine, Baldock, Herts, grocer and draper William Thody, Stotfold, butcher Consideration - £200 paid by (ii) to (i) (i) covenants with (ii) that he will surrender into hands of Lord of the Manor of Stotfold - messuage formerly in 3 tenements, now in occupation of (i) - piece of land contiguous (7p) numbered 233 together with brewery to the use of (ii) to be void if (i) repays (ii) £200 and 5% interest (i) covenants to repay said money and interest in equal half yearly installments with power of sale if default made in repayments (after giving (i) 3 months notice) (i) gives covenant for peaceable possession to (ii) (ii) may insure premises for not more than £200 and may reclaim cost from (i) in order to enable (ii) to pursue the remedy by distress (i) admits himself to be tenant from year to year (ii) at yearly rent of £10 Signature of (i) Endorsed receipt Witness: E D Wade, Baldock
