- Scope and ContentComments about Jasper's health [Jasper Selwyn Bazeley, who is in Johannesburg]. Mina's [?] visit. Expects his arm in now healed. Writer found it a great treat to have him visit. The rectory is the chief house of call for all the clergy of South Africa and lots of other interesting people. Has snow while Mina[?] was here - first snow that fell in Johannesburg. 'It's great fun lobbing snowballs from the roof of a 8 storey building down the neighbouring chimneys. One is able to observe the change in the colour of the smoke from thin black to thick yellow. John is back again in France. Responds to items in Edith's last letter. Writer had a great time in Natal - 6 nights away; 48 hours on the train.
