- Scope and ContentQSR1918/4/5/1b(i) & QSR1918/4/5/1b(ii) This Deponent Florence Cecilia Grace Duffield of 1 Russell Street Luton on her Oath saith as follows I am cashier and bookkeeper to Messrs Child & Co. On the 2nd August 1918 I left the warehouse about 6.30pm. At that time there was a little money in the desk and some stamps in a book lying at the side of the desk, the value together was seven shillings and threepence. In a cupboard in the same office there were a large number of Insurance stamps. The cupboard was not locked. On Tuesday the 13th August I returned to the office and examined my postage account and found I was one shilling and two pence short in money and postage stamps. I examined the account of insurance stamps and I found there 22 seven penny stamps missing. The value of the property missing is fourteen shillings and one halfpenny the property of Messrs Child and Company. (signed) F Duffield
