Elf [wife] is still at Markyate but writer has been at St. Albans. Comments about daughter Anne's health - have got the report and on Nash's advice have shown it to Spicer, who suggests starting the medicine again. Spicer consoders the more drastic treatments are inadvisable in a young child as they are not without risk of injury. It is very difficult to know what to do. John's cold has gone, but he has not put on any more weight this week. [Referes to son]
