- Scope and ContentBedfordshire to Wit} The Jurors for our Lord the King upon their Oath present that Joseph Baker on the first day of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixteen about the hour of eleven o’clock in the night of the same day the dwelling house of Edward Martin Holdem situate in the Parish of Marston Mortaine in the County aforesaid feloniously did burglariously did break and enter with intent the goods and chattels of the said Edward Martin Holdem in the said dwelling house then being feloniously and burglariously to steal take and carry away, and fourteen pounds of flour, one bag, one brush, and one tin of boot polish of the value of five shillings of the goods and chattels of the said of Edward Martin Holdem then in the said dwelling house then feloniously and burglariously did steal, take, and carry away against the form of the Statute in such case made and provided and against the Peace of our Lord the King his Crown and Dignity. 2nd Count And the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid, do further present that on the seventh day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen at the Quarter Sessions of the Peace holden at Bedford in the County the said Joseph Baker was convicted of Felony. Plea: Guilty admits. Verdict: Nothing recorded. Sentence: Three years penal servitude.
