    In the County of Stafford Petty Sessional Division of the Borough of West Bromwich. Before the Court of Summary Jurisdiction (being a Petty Sessional Court) sitting at the Law Courts, in the said Borough. The 23rd day of January 1913 George Darker (hereinafter called the Defendant) having been charged for that he on the second day of October 1912 , at the Borough aforesaid feloniously did, steal take, and carry away one bicycle of the value of Nine pounds, the property of Frederick Sorrell. Contrary to the form of the statute in that case made and provided, and against the peace of our Sovereign Lord the King His Crown and Dignity, and having pleaded guilty to the said charge and the Court being satisfied that the case is one which may properly be dealt with summarily under section 13 of the Summary Jurisdiction Act, 1879: The Defendant is this day convicted before this Court of the said offence. And it is adjudged that he be for the said offence imprisoned in his Majesty’s Prison at Birmingham and there to be kept to hard labour for the space of one month. John Brockhouse, Thos. Newman Two of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace for the said Borough. I certify the above to be a true copy of the original conviction of the above-named George Darker, filed in the office of the Clerk of the Peace for the Borough of West Bromwich.
