    QRS1914/3/10/2c Document marked in red ink : No. 2 “J” Borough of Luton At Meeting of the Council of the Borough of Luton, held at the Town Hall, Luton on the 6th day of December, 1910, the Worshipful the Mayor (Alderman Wilkinson)in the Chair and twenty two other members present. The following resolution was duly put and carried:- Cowridge Estate. Diversion of Footpaths. That, subject to the substituted footway being made up to the satisfaction of the Borough Engineer, the Council, as surveyor of Highways for the Parish of Luton, assent to the diversion of the footpath indicated upon plan No.2 now produced to the Council, such diversion to commence at a point marked H and to terminate at a point marked G as shewn by the colour red on the said plan, and to the stopping up, as useless and unnecessary, of that portion of the existing pathway shewn between points H and G, and coloured blue on the said plan, and it is ordered that the Borough Engineer do apply to the Justices of the Peace for the said Borough to appoint two Justices to view the proposed new road or footpath and for an order for stopping up, turning and diverting the existing public footpath suggested, and for the making of the proposed new highway or footpath is lieu thereof and proceed therein pursuant to the provision of the Highway Act, 1835, and that the Common Seal of the Council be affixed to any documents in the matter requiring the same, the whole of the costs and expenses relative to the matter being borne and paid by the said Company. This is the exhibit marked “J” referred too in the deposition of John William Tomlinson Dated 13th May 1914 William Austin Clerk to the Justice I hereby certify the above to be a true extract from the Minutes of the Luton Borough Council;
