    Under the statutory powers of the Local Government Act 1894 and the Small Holdings and Allotments Acts for the price of £995 Sandy Parish Council have bought from Francis Pym - two pieces of arable or market garden land lying together and containing 17 acres known as Powers Field Allotments and being part of a field called Near Whitley Field bounded on or towards the North in part by property formerly of Francis Pym and now of Frank Odell Senior and in part by property of the representatives of the late William Skilleter, on or towards the east by the Middlefield Road, on or towards the south by property formerly of Francis Pym and now of Frederick James Crawley, Charles Crawley jnr, Charles Usher Ebenezer Marshall and Mark Young and on or towards the west in part by property formerly of Francis Pym and now of Horace John Truin and in part by property formerly of Francis Pym and now of Frank Odell senior. Which pieces of land are let as allotments. - piece of arable or market garden land containing 10 acres known as Buntings Field Allotments being No 390 on the Ordnance Survey map , bounded on the north by property formerly of Francis Pym and now of Herbert Odell jnr, east by the Great Northern Railway, south property of Alfred Mence and west by the Middlefield Road, which is intended to be let as allotments. Plan. Provision as to rights of way and accommodation road and upkeep of Cottage Road. Recites mortgage of 22 May 1889, and then various memoranda of charge, transfers of mortgage etc 1889-1894, indenture of 1 Dec 1888 and of 16 Aug 1895.
