    I, Harcourt Everard Clare, Clerk of the Peace for the County Palatine of Lancaster, and Clerk of the Courts of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace, Holden in and for the said County, and having the custody of the Records of the Courts of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace, holden in and for the said County, do hereby certify that at the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace, holden by adjournment at Liverpool in and for the said County, on the 28th day of October 1913 James Newall was duly convicted upon indictment then and there depending, of having on the 5th July 1913 at Kenyon aforesaid in the said county, feloniously broken and entered the warehouse of Herbert Scoffin and others and of having feloniously stolen therein the sum of £2 in money, one pair of trousers, and other articles of the property of the said Herbert Scoffin and others and of having been before convicted of felony, and that the said James Newall was by the said last mention Court adjudged and ordered for the said offence to be imprisoned and kept to hard labour for the space of six Calendar Months which said conviction still remains in full force and not reversed or made void to the best of my information and belief.
