Joseph Bramwell Graham (1885-1951)

Joseph Bramwell Graham was born on 29 March 1885 at Shelley near Huddersfield, Yorkshire, the son of Henry and Ann Graham. He became Clerk to the County Council in 1925 and served for twenty six years until his death in 1951. From 1927 to his death he lived at Elstow Lodge. Bedfordshire and Luton Archives and Records Service has some notes on his life prepared by Frank Crompton [X464/82]. In 1922 he married Erica Beatrice Faith Orlebar, they went on to have four children:

Ian Henry Gaunt Graham (1926-2016)
Faith Elizabeth Graham (1931-2018)
Fergus Francis Graham (1932-2002)
Joseph died of a heart attack on 28th May 1951, aged 66, whilst attending the Chief Constables Association conference at Bournemouth. He was buried on 1st June 1951 at Elstow.
